A plan, a pathway, and a future for every Wisconsin student

About Wisconsin ACP

Helping every learner build a future they can see themselves in

middle-school-career-exploration

Together with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, Xello is helping districts create meaningful Academic & Career Planning experiences that support students from self-discovery through life after graduation.

Wisconsin’s ACP framework helps students move through four connected stages:

  • KNOW who they are
  • EXPLORE what’s possible
  • PLAN where they want to go
  • GO take meaningful steps toward what’s next

Selected again as the statewide platform in 2026, Xello provides the tools and support for students in grades 6–12. Districts can also choose to begin career development earlier with Xello for Elementary, helping younger students build the curiosity, confidence, and self-awareness they’ll carry into future planning.

The goal isn’t simply to complete ACP activities. It’s to help every learner leave school with a stronger sense of who they are, where they’re going, and what they need to do next.

Bringing ACP to life

More than activities. Meaningful experiences that move students forward.

Effective ACP isn't defined by how many times a student logs in. It's about what students discover, the conversations they have, the plans they build, and the actions they take. Xello helps Wisconsin schools turn ACP into experiences that support students throughout the KNOW → EXPLORE → PLAN → GO journey.
